Western Australian nominal hours guides

Standard
Nominal hours are the hours of training notionally required to achieve the outcomes of units of competency for vocational education and training in Western Australia.
Last updated:

In WA, nominal hours are used as a mechanism for funding allocation for the delivery of vocational education and training (VET).

WA nominal hours guides, formerly known as 'implementation guides', are support resources to assist registered training organisations, teachers, trainers and assessors to implement training packages. They provide information such as:

  • qualifications, units of competency and skill sets etc that are included in the training package; and
  • mapping information to correlate course information from older accredited courses or earlier versions of the training package with the latest endorsed qualifications, industry licensing requirements, traineeship, apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship information.
Available versions

Nominal hours guides provided here are for only the current version of the training package. Implementation guides and purchasing guides for superseded training package versions are available upon request — please contact us with details of the training package and version you require.
